♠ What Is The Difference Between An Open And An Enclosed Carrier? - Generally, an Open Carrier is similar to those you see transporting cars to and from dealerships. These carriers range in size and capacity. Vehicles that are moved via an open carrier are exposed to inclement weather and road conditions. Enclosed Carriers also range in size and capacity. Since these carriers are covered, the vehicles in transit are not subjected to inclement weather or road conditions. Enclosed carriers are recommended for custom, exotic or autos that have been especially cared for. All motorcycles are shipped on enclosed carriers.

Is Badlands Trucking Licensed And Bonded? - YES. The Commission of the United States Government licenses Badlands Trucking. We hold Motor Carrier authority under Certificate - MC#410637

Is Badlands Trucking Insured? - Yes. Our insurance covers $1,000,000 trucking liability, a $1,000,000 general liability, and cargo insurance that will protect your vehicle up to the limit equal to the value of the vehicle. Standard insurance practices determine the value of your vehicle - just as if it were damaged in a traffic accident.

Can I Pack Things In My Car? - Absolutely no items are allowed in your vehicle if you are shipping overseas, or to Alaska and Hawaii. The shipping ports will not accept your vehicle because the Customs Agents will not inspect your vehicle if there are any items not attached to the vehicle from the factory. There is no tolerance for exceptions to this policy. If you are shipping in the continental United States the following applies.
Federal and State Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations prohibit the transport of household items in vehicles being transported by auto carrier.

♠ How Do I Place My Order? - We Have 2 Easy Ways to Place Your Order:  1. If you want received an email quote, go to www.badlandlandstrucking.com , click on PDF button, and fill out form. 2. Call 508-274-1155 and give the transport representative your information.

What Happens After I Place The Order?Once your order is placed and all paperwork submitted, the transport of your vehicle will be scheduled according to the available date you provide. After a truck has been assigned, your Transport Representative will call you with the estimated pickup date and time. We instruct the drivers to call the customer 12 to 24 hours in advance of pick up or delivery to establish a more accurate estimated time of arrival and to work out specific directions. When the driver picks up your vehicle he will perform a detailed inspection of your vehicle on a Bill of Lading. Both the person releasing the vehicle and the driver will sign this Bill of Lading and one copy is left at the vehicle point of origin. The same Bill of Lading will be present on delivery so that the vehicle can be re-inspected before released.

♠ What Happens If I'm Not Available When The Truck Comes To Pick Up Or Deliver The Vehicle? -  In the event you are not able to release or take possession of your vehicle, you may appoint anyone to do this task. We ask that you supply us with the proper information for contact in this situation.

♠ Does My Vehicle Stay On One Truck? - Direct Transport is what makes us unique from other companies. Direct Transport means that once your vehicle is loaded onto our truck it does not come off until we reach your destination. What does this mean for you, quicker delivery times, less chance for damage. It also means that you can rest assured that your vehicle isn't bouncing around from truck to truck, driver to driver. You'll know the truck it is on and the driver who will be driving it.

♠ Vehicle  Prep. - You DO NOT have to drain the gas tank or other fluids. You DO NOT have to disconnect the battery. You DO NOT have to crate or palletize your vehicle. We only need to be able to move your vehicle onto the trailer and steer it into position.

Shipping some parts - You are welcome to store personal property securely inside tour packs, trunks or saddlebags; however to prevent potential scratches or dents, we do not allow extra parts, such as helmets or pipes outside the vehicle. You can ship those items (and the vehicle’s title and keys if you are transferring ownership) with an overnight carrier, such as UPS® or FedEx® or by certified U.S. mail. Also remember to lock and secure your trunk or saddlebag as you are responsible for the contents.

Vehicle Inspection - Check out your vehicle and note any dings or scratches prior to shipping. Detailed documentation will help if an insurance claim needs to be filed. Remember, when you ship with Badlands, your vehicle always includes $15,000 of insurance with a $500 deductible.

keys - We do not need your keys for your vehicle, but you are welcome to attach the keys to the handlebars with a plastic tie wrap. We also recommend that you bring a spare set with you. Or if you are sending the vehicle to another party, you can opt to ship them through an overnight carrier or with certified U.S. mail.
